Q. Modelling, Bollywood and now Sher Singh? How did that happen?
Lisa: When I met Sonny [Caberwal, co-founder of Sher Singh] I immediately felt a connect. The SS vision and philosophy appealed to me and as we all got to know each other the reason why I would want to be affiliated with Sher Singh became increasingly apparent. I feel privileged to be working with such entrepreneurial minds.

Q. What makes Sher Singh special to you?
Lisa: Fashion is all about conveying what’s on your mind and SS has given me the freedom to express my bohemian lifestyle through the Lisa ❤s SS collection.
I feel proud to be associated with India’s first lifestyle brand which is set to declare to the world that we are global creators and not merely manufacturers.

Q. What would you like to highlight about Lisa ❤s SS clothing line?
Lisa: The collection exhibits simplicity and freedom. I want the line to have a sensory experience – a synthesis of thoughts, feelings and ideas that I have gathered through my travels. It’s important that this feeling gets out there, whether it’s through the cut, fabric or the design.
Clothing that is extremely wearable and feminine without being too girly – that’s what Lisa ❤s SS is all about.

Cricket, all the way
The company unveiled its first collection, Cricket by Sher Singh, today with Zaheer Khan, who also announced that he is one of the investors in the company.  The team is also backed by other venture capitalists such as Tiger Global Management and Accel Partners, Rajan Anandan (MD, Google India), Sushama Reddy and Kishore Lulla (chairman, Eros Entertainment).

Speaking on the launch, cricketer Zaheer Khan said, “I am excited to be a part of Sher Singh. The brand symbolises stylish contemporary clothing, and I personally love the fit, quality, designs and fabric.

The brand and team is excellent, and I invested personally as I felt compelled by the mission of making Sher Singh the world’s first lifestyle brand from India.”
