On the Red Carpet

You can say The Oscars is all about the golden guy, but we say it’s more than that – much more. There’s nothing bigger (and better) than The Oscars as far as the list of Best Dressed Celebrities goes.

Last year it was all about sequins, plum and the colour red, and from what we see, the trends definitely trickled down this year.
See what else they wore on the red carpet this year.

For the 84th Annual Academy Awards, we saw Ms. Jolie in her usual black (she still stole ALL our attention), Meryl Streep won hearts with her shimmering gown (and the Best Actress Award) and last year’s winner Natalie Portman looked elegant in her retro polka dotted gown.

See who else made our Best Dressed list this Oscars.

Lea Thompson, Jennifer Lopez, Penelope Ann Miller, Stacy Keibler, Meryl Streep, Rose Byrne

It was all bling last night. The celebrities were sparkling head to toe in their sequinned dressed and gowns.

Michelle Williams, Natalie Portman, Emma Stone, Jane Seymour

Whilst it’s not easy to grab attention with a red dress on a red carpet, the ‘lady(s) in red’ truly stole the show with their breathtaking style and glamour.

Sheila E, Shailene Woodley, Rooney Mara, Octavia Spencer, Kelly Ripa, Gwyneth Paltrow

Giving red a trend collision was the colour white.  From our fashion-favourite Gwyneth Paltrow to the new IT girl, Rooney Mara, everybody seemed to be wearing the colour.

Milla Jovovich, Bingbing Li, Kate Mara, Berenice Bejo

And as we said earlier, Lace is Back and the Oscars Red Carpet just put a confirmatory stamp on the fact.
