Talking Art

Oh, it’s you by Sam Gross for The New Yorker

Art is not a thing, it’s a way.

That’s exactly what we realised at the India Art Fair 2012. And we had expected nothing else in a place with 91 artists coming together from over 20 countries to the biggest art exhibition of South Asia. It has a record of 128000 visitors in its 3rd edition last year.

We were amazed to find the works of Salvador Dali, S H Raza and Pablo Picasso along with contemporary visual artists and new names such as Anish Kapoor , Nilofer Suleman, Dilip Chobisa, Saravanan Parusaraman to name a few.

Check out some of our favourites below:

1. Gathered by Saravanan Parusaraman 2. Sam Jinks 3. Shiva by Uma Singh 4. Nilofer Suleman 5. Reena Kallet

What’s more? You get to sit with renowned artists, curators and academics for a rich insight at the speakers’ forum or relax in the cafe with your favourite book from the Art Book Store.
